On October 25th, 2022, we welcomed a healthy baby girl. Cameron came into our lives as the strongest, fiercest, most determined little girl we could have imagined. Four days after she made her appearance, instead of going home with mom and dad to meet her big brother, she was admitted to the NICU for observation as her health quickly started to decline.
On November 24th, 2022 Cameron’s body succumbed to a rare virus that she had fought for 29 days, but not before she made herself well-known and loved deeply by doctors, nurses and especially us.
When it came time to summarize our daughter’s short-lived existence in an obituary, we found that we preferred someone to graciously gift a tree in her memory instead of a floral arrangement. It wasn’t until Troy began exploring this avenue of gifting a memorial that he realized planting memorial trees could serve more of a purpose locally, and be done in a more personal way.
